I’m a dude who’s always been a dude and my name's Elliot, I don’t care what transsexual people do but I’m wondering why so many like this name. The combination of girls starting to be named Elliot and people who identify as non binary using it makes it feel like it’s just going to be another male name which becomes gender neutral and even female in the future. I don’t see this trend happening the other way around with female names becoming male, it annoys me because of that.

I think it would be better as a girls name. It just sounds feminine-ish. I really like this name, though.

It seems feminine to me due to the sound "Elle" which means "she" in French.
