Dunno if this counts as a famous bearer, but "San Judas Tadeo" (St. Jude Thaddaeus, or just St. Jude) is a revered saint across the Spanish speaking world, and was one of the Twelve Apostles in Christian tradition. He is nicknamed "santo de los imposibles" which translates roughly to "patron of desperate situations and/or lost causes". He is the patron saint of hospitals. It is said that he has a tendency to make miracles if asked to.
