  • Steve is a great name, there have been many great Steves in entertainment and music, Steve Harvey, Steve Winwood, Steve Perry, even Stephen Colbert occasionally calls himself “Steve Colbert”. Then of course there’s the great 49ers QB Steve Young. It rolls off the tongue nicely and sounds a bit less formal than Stephen / Steven (which is also a good name). Cool name for a guy. I don’t really see why this name has negative connotations, it seems like some folks think that any name that was popular in the mid 20th century must somehow be boring or irrelevant nowadays.
