Personal Meanings of the Name Brittany

  • It's actually not bad. The region in France is beautiful and it looks and sounds fine. I just dislike all of the alternate spellings because then you take the beauty of the name away (the relation to the Nice region).

  • I completely agree with Breathe J. on this. I think stereotypes in general should stop, they're ridiculous as a whole. I haven't left the nicest comments either, I know, but some of these comments go way too far...
You can express your opinion without being harsh or abrasive, be mature. I know that my comments aren't that nice as well, but I don't think I ever went that far. I personally take offense to the dumb blonde comments, as a dirty blonde. When I was younger, I was called dumb blonde as an insult other than being made fun of for my name. Saying someone is stupid because of their hair color is irrelevant and immature.
I like this name, personally. One good association is Brittany from Glee. Brought some much needed attention to the LGBTQ+ community. We also have Britney Spears. I think this name is pretty and I know a few girls named Brittany. None are blonde, btw.
