I didn't even know Senna was a regularly used name anywhere! I'd just decided it made a cool modern nickname for Asenath (one of the more obscure biblical names). The Senna plant wasn't one I was familiar with, either.
That said, as a legal name in Anglophone places Senna might cause some difficulties. Namely, it would get confused with Sienna a lot. That doesn't seem to be a problem in the Netherlands, though.

Emma is so popular now, but Senna has the same soft vowel sounds in a less common and (to me) more interesting package. Unfortunately I don't think I could use it where I live because the first thing that comes up when you search the name in a general search engine is the laxative. It's such a shame - the name is great but it feels a little mean to give a child a name that is mostly associated with laxatives where they live.

I first heard of the name Senna when I was in high school, and the first such Senna that I knew of was Ayrton Senna, who was a former F1 driver who died in May 1994. The most famous experience with that name, however, did not come until I went to college. One of my classmates in college actually had it as their first name (but with only one N instead of two). During my final semester I realized that a new character for League of Legends would actually be named Senna.
