  • Isn't Aileen supposed to be pronounced AY-leen? Aileen Quinn pronounced it that way, you can hear it being pronounced in youtube videos.
    Apart from that Aileen is quite common in Scotland and pronounced AY-leen there as well. I know several.

  • Yes! I found my sisters! I pronounce my name AY-leen and even went so far as to spell it that way all through high school. I got used to being called Eileen all my life, but when I came across the very rare Aileen, I feel like I’ve met a kindred spirit!
