I'm Israeli, and I've never met or heard of a male Yarden (though I know quite a few female ones). However, I suppose that in English-speaking countries, it could work both for a boy and a girl.

Such a nice alternative for Jordan, and for both genders as well. This name has sass!

Not a huge fan of it, but I know a girl who has this name. I thought it was more masculine at first, but now I perceive it as more feminine.

I go by one of my middle names, but my first name is Yarden. I quite like it. It's considered a sort of "quirky" name, at least in America. I think it's a nice (but still reasonable) alternative to the more common Jordan. It's also very unisex among English speakers and is in my opinion one of the few names with the suffix -den that can be taken at least somewhat seriously. That said, it makes me think of a fun, eccentric art teacher. I have sound-to-color synesthesia and I perceive Yarden as being very orange, like a freshly peeled carrot. Also, as another person stated, it is often misspelled as "Yardin," but I don't use my first name enough for that to be a personal issue.
