I think this name is beautiful, just a little childish but I appreciate that my parents chose this name as it combined my grandmothers names.

My name is Kaylin, and my family has called me “KK” for years now as a nickname. I had so many people mispronounce my name that when I switched schools in 2020 (which had nothing to do with what people called me), I would introduce myself as Kaylin, but ask to be called KK because it was easier. The nickname stuck and now most people don’t even know my real name. I’ve been KK to them for years now, and it freaks me out sometimes when I hear someone call me Kaylin because it doesn’t feel like my name anymore. I don’t regret it though, I’m KK and I don’t care that it’s childish. When you grow up, you begin to forget the things that made life look exciting as a child. I think it’s refreshing and good for the soul to be a little childish sometimes.

I don’t like it. Mostly because it doesn’t sound right with my accent. Then again even with a proper accent this name still sounds weird to me.
