I was named Erin based on a popular TV show when my mom was in her 20s. She did not tell me this for such a long time. I later found out but in the meantime, had been researching the meaning of my name Erin, I found two different meanings, both meant a great deal to me. Either my name meant Erin as in Ireland and I am of Irish dissent, or it was Erin based on Eirini, the Hebrew word for peace.
I’m a Pisces, which I only mention to encompass the majority of my personality. I’m not a believer in astrology, but can’t deny I’m a capital-P Pisces. If that means nothing to you, consider it’s a water sign. We flow. We don’t resist. That means peace to me. ALSO, my mom's maiden name (and subsequently my middle name) is Corgan.
Which is Irish. Erin literally means Ireland, from what *very* little I know of Gaelic.
So, I’m an Irish girl, who goes with the flow.
I think my name couldn’t have been more perfect.

It came from the Greek word "eros" which means love.

Erin means peace in Greek, so in ways it does mean peace. It also means genius and blessing in Japanese and small grey owl to aboriginal people. I personally like the name myself but when I was at primary school I really didn't like it. But the name Erin has so many different meanings in different languages and we cannot say it doesn't mean a certain thing because it is not English.
I love my name now! :P
