Someone here mentioned that it's not a form of Roxana. I speak Romanian and did some research on Romanian websites and it seems to derive from either Alexandra or Roxana. About 50% of all websites I looked at said it derived from Alexandra and the other 50% listed Roxana. It would be interesting to know where it really comes from.
