My brothers name is Eirik. I was told that this was the old Norse way of spelling it. Although I think it is pronounced a-ric with a soft a, we ALWAYS call him E-rik with a hard E. Anyway I think it is a cool name but it is a frustrating one because NOBODY seems to spell his name right.
