I am a Katharine, and like many have said have issues with people misspelling it. That being said Katharine has so many spelling variations and other permutations that it is not surprising. However, I have also had issues with people mispronouncing it as well. On more that one occasion growing up I had teachers see it and freak out and pronounce it like Katerina or Katharina. I also am slightly annoyed when people drop the second vowel and say "Kath-ryn" and also when people pronounce the second "a" as an "e." For me, Katharine is pronounced slightly different than Katherine and is distinct from Kathryn as well.
Conclusion
Katharine is a timeless and versatile name that evokes a multifaceted persona. It symbolizes purity, grace, and emotional depth, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a name that reflects a gentle and radiant spirit.

Along with Kathyrn, this is my favourite spelling of the name (I basically consider myself trans, and can't stand my official name). Think Katharine is pretty rare in the UK. It's more girly than Katherine, which I find a bit boring.
