We chose to name our son Gabriel Michael. Never have I thought it to be a "girly" sounding name. I have always thought it to be a strong masculine name. I love the character of it, like a knight or a warrior. As for most names I don't like the short versions of them but Gabe is a nice name too. I feel that we chose the perfect name for him. :)

I love this name so much! It sounds so strong and meaningful because of the angel Gabriel! I also don't mind Gabe too much, but the full name is much better.

If anyone names their child this, know that a common nickname for Gabriel is Gay-briel. I am sorry if you like this name, but in a story I am writing, I put the devil's undercover name as Gabriel.
