I’m probably going to be a minority on this thread, but I prefer the spelling Esmae to Esme. The reason why I prefer such is that Esmae has phonetic spelling; Esme looks like it should be said, “Ehz-mee” (which I despise). Plus, I think that Esmae is very fun to write, in print or cursive.
