My name is Ashlee and if you choose this name, prepare your child that they will have to spell it every day of their lives. It influenced me to name my children classic names that you would have to try very hard to misspell. I hated it in school, but I was one of many Ashleys in my grade - the only one with this spelling, but it's not as if it's pronounced any different, so that didn't help me. I do prefer this spelling to the boy's spelling of Ashley. It's cute, but not classic. As an adult, I don't love it or hate it - I do wish I was given a classic name or an easy to spell name, but it had meaning to my parents, so I would never change it. Nearly everyone in my life who personally knows me calls me "Ash" about 95% of the time.

I think the spelling makes more sense than Ashley.

My name is Ashlee, and I'm Asian. I do think the spelling is quite childish, but I do like my name tbh.
